Modern Mug – Black, Indigo, Plum, and White / Turquoise
This modern coffee mug was thrown on the wheel using stoneware clay. First I made the base and then after some drying time I pulled the handle off the top of the mug and attached it to the base. This gives the entire form a lovely organic handmade touch. The lower third is left naked so there is a contrast in texture of the raw clay with the smooth glaze.
Bud Vases – White and Pastel Pink, Blue, and Green
This homemade bud vase was thrown on the wheel with porcelain. The inside is glazed in clear so safe for adding water for your blooms.
Ceramic Cruettes
4” diameter at largest curve
11” tall
dishwasher and microwave safe
Flower Pots – Small, Medium, Large
These unique homemade stoneware vases come in three sizes: small medium and large. Each pot was thrown on the wheel and then hand painted and carved on the external surface. The inside is glazed white so the pot can hold water. Each design is a unique and one of a kind work of art.
Teal Crackle Vase
These tall bud vases were thrown on the wheel with porcelain. The glaze was applied in multiple layers to create a lovely crackled surface. After the firing I massaged India ink into the cracks for greater effect. The inside is glazed in clear so safe for adding water for your blooms.
Spiral Band Serving Bowls – Deep, Shallow
These serving bowls were thrown on the wheel with porcelain. After the clay dried I painted a band around the rim with black underglaze and then hand carved a running spiral design. After they were fired I glazed the inside turquoise and the outside a satin white. This design is very popular and I have matching plates and bowls in other sizes and shapes. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
Ceramic Wine Goblets
These large wine goblets were thrown on the wheel in two parts and then attached after drying and trimming. I glazed them in layers of blue green and plum for a lovely effect.
Tea Set – Indigo, Black
These ceramic tea pots were thrown on the wheel using stoneware clay. The spouts lids and handles were also thrown and then attached after the base was trimmed. They are glazed in a rich vibrant indigo as well as a soft black matte. After the final firing the bamboo handles were secured to the small lug handles. The opening is wide enough to fit a ceramic tea ball strainer for loose teas. Each teapot comes with two matching cups.
