The Power of the Constitution: Brilliance of Creative Minds, Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter
About This Work:
I love this painting. Tim Curry is so young and beautiful here, made up with a painted-on tattoo that says “Boss”, from the early 1970s when The Rocky Horror Picture Show first came out. Painting skin with a makeup-drawn tattoo was a real challenge. I especially loved capturing Tim Curry’s facial expression. Even at that young age, he had such mastery of his face, a true pleasure to paint. And sequins… they are incredibly hard to capture!

Golden Gate Bridge #4
This painting is the fourth in a growing series inspired by Katsushika Hokusai’s ‘Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.’ Where Hokusai honored a mountain, this work turns its gaze to the Golden Gate Bridge. Each view in the series offers a different facet, a different feeling, of this iconic structure.
Amanita Mushroom
These beautiful mushrooms caught my eye. Because of the glow of reflective light beneath their caps, a little mushroom family nestled in their own soft, forest world. I painted it to make Winter Holiday cards.
